Jessie has been swimming since she was four years old. At the age of five she joined her neighborhood swim team, the Willow Creek III Dolphins, and swam with them every summer until she graduated high school. As a summer league swimmer, Jessie’s strengths were fly and free. Her favorite event was the 100 fly. During high school, Jessie was also a lifeguard and swim instructor for Front Range Recreation and South Suburban Parks and Recreation. Jessie has taught Private Lessons for over a decade, and has been involved in water sports for all of her life. In college, Jessie was a rower for Seattle Pacific University, where she also coached varsity men’s and women’s rowing teams for eight years. Jessie has a Masters degree in Sports Administration and Leadership from Seattle University, and hopes to someday open a leadership institute for high school and college coaches.
Carrie is a Colorado native and lives in the Centennial area with her husband, John, and three children, Justin, Cami, and Cory. Her daughter, Cami, swims competitively for ACES Swim Club. As a parent of a competitive swimmer, Carrie knows the needs and progression for those who are just starting out, then moving forward. She is always willing to guide those who are here at SwimLabs to make the right decision, from those just beginning to learn to swim to those who are more on the competitive edge.
Ariel grew up in Boulder, CO, where she started swimming at the age of 8. She swam for the Boulder Poseidon’s and Rally Sport and was also on a triathlon team for a short while. She attended Boulder High School where she swam all four years. During high school, she also taught swim lessons each summer for 1-10 year olds and coached the 6-8 year olds kids on her team. Ariel then moved to Washington, where she went to the University of Puget Sound, majored in Studio Art, and swam for the school’s team. She moved back to Denver upon graduating in 2010 and has been very happy to be back in the Colorado sunshine!
Jill has 30 years of swimming experience! At a very early age she joined her first swim team, where she really found her niche in the distance races, particularly the 500 meter freestyle and the 100 meter backstroke. She swam for the Aurora Gators at Utah Pool throughout her childhood. In college, she taught swim lessons during the summer for the Rec Center in Grand Junction, where she attended Mesa State College. She has swam off and on for a Masters team over the last 10 years and has competed in her first sprint triathlon this year. She has three children, 18, 9, and 7. Her two younger ones are beginning to develop a love of swimming through SwimLabs on the Sawfish Swim team!
